All edges of leaves gilt trimmed. Plain endpapers. 362 pages plus advertisements. Illustrated with 12 "embellishments" being tissue guarded, steel engravings of works by J.M.W. Turner, et al. Engravings include a portrait of Sir Walter Scott, after Leslie, and "Departure of Mary Queen of Scots from France" after Leahy. Literary works include short poem "What is Life ?" by S. T. Coleridge. The spine and boards recently repaired along the edges. Previous owner's pencilled name and date (1883) on blank front endpaper. Corners of a few pages lightly bumped, otherwise clean throughout with tight binding. Price:
